As a 501 (c) (3) corporation, your HAL donations may be tax deductible depending on your specific tax situation. You will received an emailed receipt for this purpose.

* HAL is delighted to accept donations of needed office equipment, furniture, telescope accessories, etc, for the observatory. Please send an e-mail to "donations at howardastro dot org" and you will be contacted with a list of our current needs. Feel free to consider donation of either gently used items or new items based on HAL's needs.
* HAL currently has no need for donated telescopes. If you sell the equipment yourself and then donate the proceeds to HAL, that would be great. An exception might be made for an extremely rare and/or valuable telescope.
* HAL also has no current need for donated astronomy books. Thanks to past donations our library is fully stocked.
