December 2022 OOTM was The Pleiades (Seven Sisters).

  • image capture/processing details: Taken with a monochrome camera using LRGB filters. The integration time is 10 hours luminance, and roughly 3.5 hours of red, green and blue. All exposures were 5 minutes. The equipment used is an Astro Tech 130EDT refractor telescope, ASI294MM Pro camera, Losmandy G11 mount, guiding done by OAG with ASI174mm mini guidecamera. Capture software was NINA, processing done using Pixinsight and Luminar AI.

  • object: Heart and Soul Nebulae

  • image capture/processing details: Shot with a monochrome 2600MM camera and RedCat 51 on the HEQ5 Mount in Hubble palette. (SHO) Picture was taken in Highland MD with a total of over 15 hours of Sulfur II, Hydrogen Alpha, and Oxygen III data collected. Data was stacked in Deep Sky Stacker with most processing done in PixInsight and final touches using Photoshop.

Capture software was NINA, processing done using Pixinsight and Luminar AI.
