April 2 Library Event Report

Thank you very much to all the HAL members (new and old) who came out to show off the Moon, Mars, Venus and the Orion Nebula (at least) to everyone at Howard County Central Library.  We had a great turnout of students who had enrolled in the event through the library as well as members of the public who just happened to be passing by.  The sky was clear and the weather was great and we all had a wonderful time.  I took a few pictures which Chas may put up on our web site, and I took one of the moon using my phone held up to the eyepiece, which is attached.

We'll be doing another event in the fall, so those of you who missed out this time will get another shot.  The librarians always do a great job promoting these events and they're a great way to share our love of astronomy with the public

Clear skies,
David
